The Competition jury may award further prizes to specific entries, but the maximum number of entries is five and the maximum prize is 4.000 €Â per entry.

The estimated fee for the final design study is up to 322.420 €

Eligiblity: Eligible for participation are natural persons (individually or as team leaders) or legal entities disposing the legitimate license to practice the professional activity as an Architect in Greece or in other counties.

Design Challenge:

Redesign of an existing building into the Archaeological Thematic Museum of Piraeus
and
Regeneration of part of the Piraeus Port Authority (PPA) land area – transformation into a public open-air space and into a park with closed parking space underneath.

The Competition aims to create:

• An important and unique Archaeological Thematic Museum for Piraeus and its port.

• A communal open space and park which, along with the open-air public space south of Kekropos av., which is underway, will form an urban public park of capital importance, a pole of attraction which will connect the Municipalities of Keratsini – Drapetsona and Piraeus with the Port and the sea.

• A connection between Museum – Archaeological site through the partial pedestrianisation of Kanari Street and the formation of a one-way street for the remaining part, in contact with the archaeological site.

• A closed parking space, under the park area, with a maximum capacity of 250 car parking space
