Natural History Museum’s Grounds: South Kensington

Type: Open, Expressions of Interest (EOI), two-stage

Language: English

Timetable:

28 October 2013 – Deadline for EOI

Design Challenge:

A successful resolution of the Museum’s Grounds is part of a long-term masterplan to address visitor engagement for a site that occupies over half of the total area. Waterhouse’s original plans for the grounds were never properly realized. The current layout is neither appropriate to a world-class institution nor effective in accommodating day-to-day use.

All enquiries relating to the competition should be emailed to the independent competition organizers, Malcolm Reading Consultants.

During the pre-qualification stage no contact should be made with the Natural History Museum, their employees or contractors as this may lead to disqualification from the competition.
