DESIGN CHALLENGE:

The main objective of the competition is to find an outstanding architectural and urban solution to the new main building of the Estonian Academy of Arts and to find a person to commission further architectural and planning stages of the design, based on the winning entry. As a procurement, it is a design competition as specified in the Public Procurement Act of the Republic of Estonia § 79(1), the objective of which is to find the best architectural design draft for the main building of the Estonian Academy of Arts and to enter into a procurement contract for services with the winner to design the following stages of architectural and site plan design.

The competition area is situated in absolute centre of Estonian capital Tallinn and in the centre of the new business district.

Spatial programme is totally 26,738 m2.
