THE COMPETITION:
The Miami Chapter of the American Institute of Architects and the Bienal Miami + Beach announce the design competition for the interior of a Pavilion of 200 sq. ft. representing the city of Miami in the 2009 AIA National Convention to be held in San Francisco. The pavilion will be the main feature advertising the Miami 2010 AIA national convention. The selected project will be built following the winning design, and will eventually be reused in Miami as a welcoming and information booth. Designers are asked to consider issues of modularity, construction, lighting, sound, and electronic/digital media as much as cultural and image issues.
