The Alder Centre is unique within the NHS and provides bereavement counseling for families who have lost a child as well as a national telephone helpline and general counseling for Trust staff. This new circa 310m2 building will for the first time offer the opportunity to provide a dedicated facility to meet the needs of this highly specialized and sensitive service, in which purpose

‐ designed external space will be an equally important feature of the successful design.

The new Alder Centre will be a key addition to the Health Park Campus, whose design will need to reflect the quality of other recent developments on the

site and the ‘Hospital in a Park’ landscape setting.

Expressions of interest should be submitted within the requirements as described in the Preliminary Briefing Paper and Memorandum of information.
