December 2012 – Announcement of top designs

Summer 2013 – Unveiling of Prototypes

Fall 2013 – Announcement of winners

Awards:

US$10,000 to each winning entry (Conservancy will fabricate winning design or designs, currently estimated at 300 units.

Design Challenge: to design an iconic moveable outdoor seat  for The Battery, the 25-acre park at the tip of Manhattan (the “Park”), which welcomes six million visitors each year.
