Design Challenge: Architects, designers, landscape architects, planners and students are invited to prepare concept plans for the redevelopment of three strategic sites in the Pioneer Valley, a region of Western Massachusetts defined by the Connecticut River Valley. These sites are located in Southampton, Palmer and Hadley.
The goal for this international design competition is to create a local example of sustainable development and redevelopment, and to provide a model of how communities in the region can grow smarter. With the partnerships formed through this competition process, there will be significant momentum for turning the winning concept plan idea into reality.

Submission Requirements:
Proposals should address design and planning strategies at multiple scales: Site planning scale, site design scale, use of site, building footprint area, building area, building height, total residential units and all paved surfaces.
Each team should submit two 24” x 36” (610 mm x 915 mm)presentation boards, composed side-by-side so that the overall horizontal dimension is 36” (915 mm) and the vertical dimension is 48” (1220 mm).   An additional digital copy on CD is required
