eVolo 2010 Skyscraper Competition

Eligibility: all students, architects, engineers, and designers. Multidisciplinary teams are encouraged.

Timetable:
17 November, 2009 – early registration deadline
10 January, 2010 – registration deadline
18 January, 2010 – project submission deadline
22 February, 2010 – winner announcement

Jury: To be announced on July 13, 2009.

Design Challenge:
The main idea of this contest is to examine the relationship between the skyscraper and the natural world, the skyscraper and the community, and the skyscraper and urban living. Globalization, global warming, flexibility, adaptability, and the digital revolution are just some of the multi-layered elements that should be taken into consideration.
There are no restrictions in regards to site, program or size. The ultimate goal of the designs should be to help the environment, restructure our cities and improve our way of life.
Submission Requirements:
-two boards with the project information including pans, sections, and perspectives. These boards should be 24” x 36” in landscape format, 150 dpi resolution.
-a .doc file containing the entrants information and registration number
-all files must be placed in a ZIP folder
