The competition is open to any student or team of students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Landscape Architectural Degree Program

Awards:
First prize award: $3,000
Second prize award: $2,000
Third prize award: $1,000

Design Challenge:
Submissions may pertain to any project which affects the natural and built environment and has a demonstrated, positive impact on the quality of life of the public.
Submission Requirements Drawings – Submissions must contain a rendered site plan and other drawings as required to demonstrate the existing conditions and the design of the proposed project. Submissions must include no more than four 20″ x 30″ (or metric equivalent) drawings. Entries that exceed the size requirement will not be considered for an award.
Essay – Submissions must include an essay communicating to the public how the project reflects considerations for the natural environment, how the project will influence the quality of life of the users, and how the knowledge and skills required to produce the project relate to those tested on the Landscape Architect Registration Examination (L.A.R.E.). Essays must be typed, double spaced and no more than 1,000 words in length. Please include a printed copy of the essay and an electronic copy on disk or CD.
Jury:
A jury of licensed landscape architects from across the U.S. and Canada will be selected by CLARB to evaluate the submissions.
