Design Challenge:
The purpose of the TOGS competition is to stretch the boundaries of
art exhibited outdoors and showcase the synergy between art and
architecture in the public realm. The competition generates proposals
for temporary space for the exhibit of fine art, which ultimately
results in enhancement of Art Alliance Austin’s annual outdoor art
experience “Art City Austin” by providing innovative gallery space for
selected artists. Nearly 1000 artists apply to exhibit from around the
nation and globe with 200 selected through a rigorous jury process.
